ALIEN CONTAGION FORCE 0.2
Welcome to our first major devlog update. Over the last week or so we have had lots of feedback from the community to add everything from PAUSE buttons to AUTO FIRE. We have taken every single suggestion ultra seriously. Talking of feedback, we would like to thank everyone who have contributed thus far. You will never know how much your impressions of the game help shape it for the better. Following is a list and description of original features and because of your feedback the updated and improved version of that feature.
0.1 - Developer Pause Only.
0.2 - Proper Pause Button added on the 'P' key.
0.1 - No ESCAPE button to quit out of the game.
0.2 - Proper ESCAPE button attached to the 'esc' key that asks for confirmation and then quits the
game if you decide to.
0.1 - Bugs that would allow frame drops and a crash.
0.2 - Completely REMOVED all known bugs and the game is running incredibly smooth and reliable.
0.1 - Single Click Fire Button, one of our MAIN requests was to have AUTOFIRE instead.
0.2 - ADDED AUTOFIRE - A complete reworking of the MAIN FIRE METHOD, you can now hold down the LEFT
mouse button to have a continues volley of bullets shooting from your ship. This actually adds a
perfect balance to help out in times that you do not have the SUPER weapons to fall back on.
0.1 - Missile Monster difficulty a little too hard.
0.2 - Added a trail of smoke to all missiles, this makes them a LOT easier to spot in general
gameplay thus making it easier to dodge. The trails also have the side effect of looking AMAZING.
0.1 - Random explosions.
0.2 - EXPLOSION SYSTEM v1.0 coded and added to the new version. This system was coded from scratch
and promises DYNAMIC explosions all over the screen. Expect more versions in the future.
0.1 - Original and unbalanced ENERGY DROP SYSTEM.
0.2 - NEW!! More balanced ENERGY DROP SYSTEM. Added a 3 tier system so that you can either get
a SMALL , MEDIUM or LARGE energy drop, but overall the drop rates are reduced. This leads to a lot
more strategic play where your AUTO FIRE becomes invaluable to survive.
0.1 - No audio organisation system.
0.2 - Audio System 0.1 created. Stops a lot of the sounds being muffled by others and keeps the play
sound amazingly atmospheric.
0.1 - Muffled or very quite WEAPON ACTIVATION NOISES.
0.2 - FIXED!! Now we have an amazing ACTIVATION VOICE so that you KNOW!! when those super weapons are
available.
0.1 - Simple HiScore.
0.2 - Updated HiScore with some nice LIVE effects to make it look more like an arcade classic. Fixed bugs
that could end up with score stuck.
0.1 - OLD score system.
0.2 - Current Score System - We are constantly updating this system to bring new strategies and new bonuses
to the game so that your score is boosted in the most amazing ways possible.
0.1 - No exploding body system.
0.2 - Added a new BODY EXPLODING SYSTEM. Once you kill things with metal parts to them, they will fire
small splinters upon death, dont worry!!! these do NOT hurt you, just look very COOL INDEED!!!
0.1 - Plain Main Menu.
0.2 - Added the logo to the menu
Finally, we have added lots of little things that are too many to mention individually. Again, we thank
all who have contributed to this project, esp the 2 guys who were amazing enough to buy the game when
they did not have to.. we wanted to mention you here and say how much motivation you have given us.
